Education:

1978: SAN FRANCISCO ART INSTITUTE: Post Graduate Studies; Painting and Conceptual Art

1976: SANTA CLARA UNIVERSITY: BFA, Fine Arts and Spanish.

Experience:

1976-Present: FREELANCE ARTIST specializing in murals.

1978-Present: MUSICIAN: Vocals, guitar, songwriting; working in California, Texas, and Mexico.

1970-Present: MUSIC INSTRUCTOR: Teaches guitar by tablature method.

1984 -1989: FREELANCE MURALIST and musician living and working in Mexico.

1989-1996: BOOKING AGENT, PROMOTER, and ROAD MANAGER for CUYA PIQUE, a Peruvian group based in Mexico City. Planned and managed six US-Canada tours, produced and marketed four CD’s.

1989-Present: CONCERT PROMOTER, having organized and promoted such acts as Bela Fleck and The Flecktones, Maria Muldaur, Norton Buffalo, Peter Rowan, Acoustic Alchemy, Nina Gerber, Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, etc.

1989-1992: TEACHER, MERCED COLLEGE: Taught Spanish, English as a second language, Drawing, and Painting.

1992-1995: TEACHER, ARTS IN CORRECTIONS: Taught Drawing and Painting and directed inmates in the production of murals at Central California Women’s Facility At Chowchilla, California and Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown, California.

1999-Present: DIRECTOR OF SEMINARS, teaching hands-on, step-by-step production of murals spotlighting her own crew-assisted mural method, employing crews from preschool age to octagenarians and beyond.

BILINGUAL: SPANISH.

CREW DIRECTION: Has directed novice crews of all ages and including the developmentally disabled in the production of professional quality, dynamic murals efficiently and safely. These murals can be conglomerates of design elements provided by the participants, or designed by the artist. They are accurately reproduced, matching the mach-up precisely to the square inch at a rate of 32 to 128 square feet per day, depending on detail and level of realism.
